He distributed all his possessions to the poor, freed the slaves, and appeared on the advice of the bishop with other nobles, saying: «Is it long for you, the king with other princes, to do evil and get lost, bowing before idols? Here I stand before you and testify to the only true God».
After hearing this, the emperor was extremely angry. He commanded the righteous to put in the pads and put a huge stone on his chest. However, the martyr humbly endured torture, answering the ruler that no suffering could distract him from faith. The execution of the righteous was carried out on April 23, 303, on Friday.

Again, we earnestly pray, holy and victorious one: strengthen with the grace given to you the Orthodox army in battle; destroy the forces of the enemy; let them be ashamed and confounded; let their arrogance be crushed, and let them realize that we have divine help.
